[Recipe] Mie Ayam

This recipe is a simple recipe for making Mie Ayam. It tastes quite good and is easy to make. I got this recipe from Mba Ita, and modify it to my taste.

Ingredients
Chicken topping:
250gr minced chicken
75gr button mushroom, chopped
1 yellow onion, chopped
2-3tbs oyster sauce
3-4tbs sweet soy sauce
2tbs margarine for stir-frying
dash of white pepper
salt (optional, since the oyster sauce is already salty)
Fried onion for garnishing

Soup:
3 glass of water
Chicken stock
Bok Choi or chye sim
Celery
Fried onion for garnishing

Noodle:
You can buy packed wanton noodle in a supermarket and cook it according to the instruction written on its package.
I prefer to use instant noodle with chicken flavor. Cook the noodle together with all the seasoning and some green leafy vegetable like bok choi. After all are cooked, separate the vegetables from the noodle, and then strain the noodle while keeping the soup.

Instruction
  1. Preheat the margarine and then stir fry the onion until its color slightly changes.
  2. Add in the mushroom, continue to stir fry for about 2-3 minutes.
  3. Add in the chicken, oyster sauce, and sweet soy sauce. Continue to stir until it is well-mixed and the chicken is cooked.
  4. Prepare a bowl to place the noodle in. Put the the topping on top of the noodle and add some vegetables from the soup to garnish it. Prepare another smaller bowl to place in the soup.
  5. Garnish with fried onion.

Note: You can use the chicken topping for chicken-porridge, or just eat it with steamed rice.
