Me want burger

For the last one week i had this acute craving for junk food, especially fried chicken and burger. Every time, i mean really every time i saw KFC or BK commercial on TV as well as on printed media, i went like, "ooohh... i want that... i reeeaalllyy want that...(drooling)".

So, finally, yesterday, i told Ridha: "Honey, i haven't cook anything for dinner yet. And i will not cook. We're going to KFC tonight!"

That night, since we have decided to have KFC as our dinner, two options were on our minds. Harbourfront center or IMM building. We choose IMM building because i wanted to go to Daiso and shopping for our groceries at Giant. I know VivoCity also has Daiso and Giant, but the crowd on weekend time is just too tiring. Plus, we could just hop on the IMM shuttle bus service right in front of our block. Free of charge. On the way, we discussed about what to eat. Ridha would have two pieces chicken set meal and i would have the colonel burger set meal (that way i could get both fried chicken and the burger in one go).

When we got to IMM building,
Ridha (R): "Where's KFC?"
Me (M): "I remember it's over there, in front of Subway near Secret Recipe."

... we were there...

R: "It's not here".
M: "Let's look for the floor plan and see where it's located".
R: "And where's the floor plan?"
M: "That... i don't know". :P

... by this time we already back to the main lobby....
... and then we went half lap of the first floor. We've found McDonald and Burger King. But no sign of KFC....and the floor plan...

R: "Ooh.. i know where it is. It's on the other side. Follow me".

... by this time, i wanted to argue. I was soooo sure that he meant the exact same location as the first one. The one in front of Subway, near Secret Recipe. But, i just followed him. No point arguing since he would insist to check on 'his location' of KFC...

R: "Errr... it's not here also..."
M: "Honey, we were here the first time. You see, that's Subway, and that's Secret Recipe...but we were coming from the opposite direction".
R: "Huh?"
M: "OK, i think we've made mistake. There's no KFC here. Let's just have BK. It's almost 9 and i'm hungry."

There goes my fried chicken and colonel burger.

We had BK Chicken Burger and BK Whooper instead.

And we've learned our lesson: There's no KFC in IMM building!
...or, is there? Did we miss it?

And now... i want to eat pizza!

1930s wife?

Thank God I'm not a 1930s wife.

Here's the scale.
0-24 - Very Poor (Failure)
25-41 - Poor
42-58 - Average
59-75 - Superior
76+ - Very Superior

Well, scoring 55 as average is good enough for me. I don't know whether that means good or bad. I didn't check most of the traits as they don't apply to me.

Go on, take the test, and see how are you doing if you were a 1930s wife, or even husband.

To write or not to write

My inspiration of what to write for my blog sometime comes in a weird way on a perfectly wrong time. Maybe that's why it is called inspiration. As for the wrong timing, for example, often it comes at night after I'm set in bed when I have closed my eyes trying to sleep. BAM! It comes, and ruins my sleepiness. It will take about two hours later (if i'm lucky) before i can finally sleep, after struggling to completely forget about that inspiration.
The next morning, i can still remember a little bit about it. But, the mood to write is just not there anymore.

Why don't I blog it right away, you asked?

Because Ridha would veto the idea of me turning my laptop back on just to blog.

Why don't I just write it down on a piece of paper first, you asked?

Because, I've lost my ability to write if it's not on a keyboard of a computer. Weird, huh? But it happens. A couple of times I tried to blog by writing it on a piece of paper first. Well, it fails every time. I can't even finish a single sentence. It seems like all the words are hiding away from my pen.
Scary!

Does this happen to you too? I mean, the disability to write if it's not on a computer?

P.S: Anybody cares to buy me Asus EEE PC ? Or, an iPhone, maybe?

Why Mulan Jameela?

What's with 'ya iya lah ya iya dong mulan jameela mulan bla bla bla'?

In only the last one hour i came across this 'phrase' twice.

First, i was chitchating with a friend on YM. He said:

"ya iyalah di jkt, masa ya iya donk di jkt. kan mulan jameela, masa mulan jameedonk"

And second, i was blogwalking and stumble upon this blog. And he (I assume it belongs to a male blogger) said in one of his post:
"Ya iyalaah…..masak ya iya dunk, ya iyalah Mulan Jameelah, masak Mulan Jajiggong!!!"

OK, is this some kind of new 'bahasa gaul' nowadays?
But why Mulan Jameela?

Forbidden Kingdom... oh gosh...

If you spend your breakfast time around your TV and have you eyes glued to the Primetime Morning on Channel News Asia, then you must know a segment called Zoom In. It's a segment about the latest movie reviews. You cannot forget it's presenter, Melanie Oliveiro with that monotonous voice of her and the popcorn-based-rating she gives to every movie she reviewed.

After having our daily dose of prime time morning for about five months now, Ridha and I agree upon one thing. The movie review lady does not give away her popcorns so easily. Often, the movies being reviewed got around two or three popcorns (on the scale of five as the highest). We started to believe that there is never a good enough movie to get five popcorns from her. As far as i know, the most popcorn she gave lately is four, to the movie Kung Fu Panda (and yes, that movie is a good one, i would have given out five popcorns if i were her).

This Zoom In segment has now become our morning games. Ridha and I will take a guess of how many popcorn the movie will get from her.

I remember when she reviewed the movie Forbidden Kingdom. Her review said that the movie was very disappointing. So we guessed she would give like two popcorns. And to our dismay, she gave out ONE popcorn. It means 'Don't bother', if I am not mistaken.
"What...? That movie has Jackie Chan and Jet Li in it. One popcorn? Come on... is she serious? Is it really that bad?"

Since then, we were set to watch Forbidden Kingdom. We didn't know when or where, but we would watch it. It's sort of like a reverse psychology, you know. You say something and expect the result in the other way around. :P

Finally, we watched Forbidden Kingdom last night. Yeaah, i know it's bit too late for that, but...hey, who cares :D. And guess what... that movie IS sucks. Sucks to the bone... haha..! I guess I was expecting too much from Jet Li and Jackie Chan in that movie. They're way too big for the movie. There was nothing much going on with the kung fu either. Nothing made me go "wow, that's cool!"

And that night, for the first time we praised Melanie Oliveiro for giving away only one popcorn for this movie.

P.S: I always wonder how many popcorns did The Lord of The Ring trilogy get from her.

Wishlist review

I was browsing through my own blog here in diniblogs. I almost forgot that i have a wishlist. Is it still counted as wishlist if you already forgot about it?

Well, let's see.

I forgot about it, but i still definitely want it. Hopefully in the near future i will be wearing one.

It's too expensive for a clock! I still want it though. But i cannot find it in IKEA Singapore anymore. Maybe it's already discontinued.

Amiiinn.
